DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve.

Depart Nairobi in the early morning and journey through Kenya’s scenic countryside towards Samburu National Reserve. En route, make a brief stop at the Equator crossing point for photos and a short experience of this unique geographical landmark.

Continue to Samburu, arriving with an en-route game drive as you enter the reserve, offering your first chance to spot wildlife. Check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch, followed by time to relax and take in the tranquil surroundings.

In the late afternoon, set out on your first game drive in the reserve, known for its unique wildlife species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day at Samburu National Reserve.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve, when wildlife is most active. Explore the reserve along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where animals often gather to drink.

Return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by leisure time to enjoy the facilities—relax by the pool, take in the views, or simply unwind in the peaceful environment.

After lunch, head out for another afternoon game drive, offering further opportunities to spot predators such as lions and leopards, as well as the region’s distinctive wildlife.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a final en-route game drive as you exit Samburu National Reserve.

Proceed to visit a local Samburu community, where you will gain insight into their traditional way of life, customs, and culture.

Thereafter, begin your journey back to Nairobi, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the late afternoon, then transfer to your hotel or to the airport for your onward travel.
