DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Village Experience (Maasai Mara Region)
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and journey towards the Maasai Mara National Reserve, with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for scenic views and photos.
Continue to a traditional Maasai village, where you will be welcomed with vibrant songs and dances by the community. Check into your Manyatta and enjoy a traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Maasai culture through interactions with the villagers—learning about their daily life, including beadwork, home building, cooking, and livestock herding.
In the evening after dinner, gather around a bonfire for traditional entertainment and storytelling by the elders, offering deeper insight into their history and way of life before retiring for the night.
Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Drive & Cultural Experience
After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in the iconic Maasai Mara National Reserve. Explore the vast savannah in search of the Big Five, with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos, along with a wide variety of other wildlife.
Continue towards the famous Mara River, where you will visit the border between the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch by the riverbanks or at a designated picnic site, surrounded by nature.
After an enriching day of wildlife viewing, return to your Manyatta with en-route game viewing for any animals not previously seen.
In the evening, immerse yourself in a unique cultural experience. Participate in the preparation of a traditional meal, including learning how to barbecue the Maasai way and how to make fire without matches. Enjoy a communal dinner prepared with the hosts, followed by vibrant traditional songs and dances performed by the Maasai community. You may also have the opportunity to learn and join in the singing. Overnight at the Manyatta.
Day 3: Maasai Village – Nairobi
After breakfast, bid farewell to your Maasai hosts and begin your journey back to Nairobi, carrying with you unforgettable memories of your cultural and wildlife experience.
Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon with drop-off at your residence or the airport for your onward travel.
