ITINERARY
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
Today we pick you up at your hotel, you will be met by our representative and briefed on your safari. Depart towards the Great Rift Valley viewing scenery having a stop over at the viewpoint en route arriving at the pink lake often referred to as due to its great masses of flamingos. Check-in at the Cliff Nakuru, and after lunch, proceed for a game drive in the park with numerous animals. During the game drive you will see the huge numbers of flamingos that are concentrated along the lake shore. In addition to the bird life for which Lake Nakuru is so well known there are many different wildlife species in the park including lion, leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, zebra, impala, and waterbuck. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
Have breakfast at the lodge. Depart and drive towards Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your hotel. In the afternoon you have the option to enjoy a boat ride to see the Hippos in this freshwater lake and visit Crescent Island. This sanctuary hosts Herbivores like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara
Have an early breakfast. Depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve, which is on the south along the floor of the great rift valley then past Narok climb the western wall entering Hemingway’s country ”Serengeti plains”. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp. Afternoon enjoy a game drive in this famous reserve. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 4: Maasai Mara
This day will be spent at this famous reserve searching for a wild game with an option to enjoy a balloon safari. Have an early morning game drive before breakfast, then return and have breakfast. Lunch at the luxury camp. Visit to Masai villages is also an option. Lions are abundant in the park, such as elephants, giraffes, a variety of gazelle species, and zebra. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhinos. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of Mara’s birds, occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Masai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Masai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans. Have an evening game drive and Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Maasai Mara – Nairobi.
Have breakfast at the luxury camp. Depart for Nairobi and depending on time, have a game drive Enroute. A stop is provided at Masai city where you can buy handicrafts and souvenirs. Have lunch Enroute. On arrival transfer to the airport for your international final departure or to your hotel.
