Today after breakfast you will drive to our Maasai Village. Upon arrival you are welcomed by song and dance and your guide for the day will take you through a brief of what to expect during your stay.
The day will be unique as you will be provided with your Maasai attire as well as given a local name. We will proceed for a tour of the village where you will learn about the different manyatta huts and where each member of the family lives, their roles plus their nomadic way of living.
The Local elders will take you through their history and how they have adapted to the modern way of living. Later the Men will walk with the warriors and get to learn about their initiation and rights of passage from Moran to become the village elders and similar the Women will learn about their roles in the village.
After an educative process you will enjoy a local lunch which you will assist to prepare while learning how to make fire, prepare traditional meals and different types of herbs used. When the meal is ready, you will enjoy a meal together with your host family. You will also get to be entertained through song and dance and it’s your chance to learn at least one song.
Afternoon you will get to go through the Maasai Craft Center where all beaded jewelry are hand made by the local women. Here you can purchase your souvenirs and get to promote the locals.
After a beautiful day with the locals you will be transferred to your hotel.
