DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Malindi to Masai Mara

Fly to Maasai Mara Game Reserve at 7 a.m. from Ukunda Airstrip and arrive by 10:30 a.m. Have an en-route game viewing drive to your Lodge. Upon arrival, check in and have lunch. Later in the Evening, experience an evening game viewing Drive at the Park searching for the Big Five animals among others.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day

Today we will spend the day on a full-day game drive looking for the Big 5 and other rare wildlife species not previously seen. We will head to the Mara River for a Walking tour of the river to see the hippo and crocodile families as well as the migration routes. Picnic lunch will be served at the river or at the picnic spots with great views of the plains. Take time at the riverfront for a chance to witness the Wildebeest Migration. Head back to the camp while making stops to view animals not previously seen. Spend the evening relaxing and later enjoy a Bush Dinner / Sundowner.

Day 3: A Hot Air Balloon Safari & Maasai Cultural Tour

Begin this day with an optional Hot Air Balloon ride over the Mara River and get a rare chance to see the Wildebeest Migration from the skies. Later, head back to the river to see the animals cross or relax in your lodge. Evening, take part in a Maasai Cultural Tour and learn about the Community’s Way of Life. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Malindi.

Enjoy the morning on a game-viewing drive or relax at the camp. Later, check out and have early Lunch. Transfer to the airstrip for a local flight to Nairobi. Connect to your flight back home or continue with your safari.
