DETAILED ITINERARY.
Day One: Nairobi – Lamu.
Morning at 7: 30a.m depending on your hotel location, Our Representative will pick you up from your city Hotel/ Airport and transfer you to Wilson Airport. Depart for Lamu at 9:00a.m. Upon arrival in Lamu at 10:15 a.m. Upon arrival, get transferred to your Lamu Resort for check-in and Lunch. Spend the rest of the Afternoon relaxing and swimming while enjoying the panoramic views of Lamu Island.
Day Two: Visit to Lamu Old Town.
Today you will explore Lamu Old Town which is the oldest Swahili settlement in East Africa as well as the world heritage site. Lamu Old Town established in the 13th century clings fast to its roots and wanders through the maze of stone houses, alleyways, and markets. Your guide will walk you through Lamu Town and take you to meet spectacular Swahili artisans, visit the old fort and museum, shop for spices at the markets, and have lunch at the seafront hotels. Day Three: Sunset Dhow Cruise.
Spend the day relaxing at the resort and later in the evening have a sunset dhow cruise as you enjoy the fresh ocean winds as you sail across the channel and into the mangroves. Enjoy drinks and locally made snacks as you watch the orange sunset on tiny Shella. Extend your sail into the early evenings as you watch the moonrise and take in the vast number of stars that are visible. We serve fresh Swahili cuisine that is made by the local women, rich in taste, and made with love. Enjoy this delicious meal as the crew takes care of all your needs. Sail back to your Resort for an overnight stay.
Day Four: Lamu – Nairobi.
Morning after breakfast, check out of your resort and transfer to the airport via Boat. Take off at 10:50 a.m. and after a smooth flight, touch down Nairobi at 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, meet our representative who will transfer you to your city hotel for Lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay.
