Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square kilometres. Situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert it opened in April 1948, and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province.
Ashnil Aruba is located at the heart of the Tsavo and gives you an added advantage when looking for game. Several watering holes nearby attract wildlife and spotting animals is easy because the park lies flat with savannah grassland.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Depart from Mombasa
6:00 am: Pick up at your Mombasa Hotel.
6:30 am: Depart for Tsavo East National Park
10:30 am: En route game viewing drive to your hotel
13:00 pm: Lunch & relaxation.
16:00 pm: Evening game viewing drive & Sundowner.
19:00 pm: Dinner & Overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Tsavo East
6:00 – 8:00 am: Have breakfast at the tented camp
8:01 am: Enjoy a game drive and site seeing
12:00 am: Lunch, swimming, relaxation.
15:30 pm: Evening game viewing drive to spot the animals not seen earlier on safari
19:00 pm: Bush barbeque dinner & overnight.
Day 3: Depart for road trip back to Mombasa
6:00 am: Early morning game viewing drive at sunrise
8:00 am: Breakfast at the lodge.
10:30 am: Check out and en route game drive.
17:00 pm: Drop off at your city residence or Airport.
