It is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square kilometers. Situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert it opened in April 1948, and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province

ITINERARY
Day One: Watamu – Tsavo East
Early morning at 6:00 a.m, pick up from your Watamu resort/residence and depart for the Tsavo East National Park. After a 3-hour drive, arrive at Tsavo and enjoy an en-route game viewing drive to your lodge. Check in and have Lunch. Spend the rest of your afternoon relaxing. Later at 3:00p.m, embark on an evening game viewing drive. Drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day Two: Tsavo East – Watamu
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at 6:00a.m and check out of the lodge. Set out for a morning game viewing drive searching for animals not previously seen. Have an en-route game drive as you head out of the park by 12:00 pm. Drive back to Watamu and on arrival at 3:00p.m, drop-off at your Coastal residence or Airport.
